Week 1: Una Sicilia d'Oro (Val di Noto)
 

Una Sicilia d'Oro (A Golden Sicily) has its base in the southeastern corner of Sicily, between Siracusa and Ragusa, in a beautifully renovated farmhouse which has been transformed into a small charming hotel. It is located in a natural reserve and offers a beautiful swimming pool, garden area and bar with breathtaking views of the reserve. The beach is walking distance, about a half mile. Val di Noto is a designated UNESCO city for Baroque architecture.

The week is devoted to visting Baroque villages and ancient Greek archeological sites with a private guide, as well as discovering local products and tasting food and wine. We'll also be visiting the famous Taormina and the volcano Etna. A driver with private vehicle will be available to take people into town. Laura will of course be available for suggestions and planning travel extensions..
