theme tours

For those looking to explore a particular interest or hobby with destinations and activities already planned out, Exclusively Italian offers a limited number of small group tours.

Centered around a particular theme (for example, photography, wine & food, yoga) we create an opportunity to enjoy your passion while learning about local history, art, culture, traditions and lifestyle. And most of all, meet the local people.

Our groups are intentionally kept small, limited to 16-20 people, in order to provide a more intimate travel experience, while allowing for plenty of leisure time to explore personal interests.

We also partner with group leaders who are interested in organizing their own group tours. We help define, create and manage the entire program of activities, accommodations, and logistics. Tell us your passion, and we'll help you make it happen!

WE'RE in the process of PLANNING OUR NEXT group TOURs.

Southern Italy Tour

Sicily (Palermo, Taormina, Ragusa, Noto, Siracusa) & Naples

Last summer we ventured to Southern Italy with the unique perspective of Dr. Kevin Petti (Professor of Anatomy and Physiology at Miramar College, San Diego).

From the East to the West of Sicily, to Reggio Calabria, Naples and the Roman ruins of Pompeii, we explored the most important historic, artistic, and scientific destinations of Southern Italy.

The scientific and anatomic topics provided a fresh and unique perspective of Italy. In particular, the role of Italy in both the arts and sciences, and how they are connected. This amazing story was captured through visits to two university anatomy museums and Capuchin's Crypts. This particular itinerary also included Greco-Roman perspectives where we visited the Riace Bronzes, which are 2,400 year-old Greek bronze sculptures that demonstrate a remarkable understanding of the human body. We also visited The Ancient Greek Temples of Agrigento which are also over 2,000 years old, and later the Roman town of Pompeii, which both speak to the sciences of architecture and engineering.

In the end, not only was it a unique educational and cultural experience, but everyone also had plenty of time to relax and explore the beauty of Sicily and Naples on their own.
